November Artist Uncorked : Lauren Kargus

About this event

Vines & Rushes Winery is excited to feature the artwork of Lauren Kargus in our Great Room Gallery throughout November!

Lauren primarily works with oil paints, incorporating acrylics and modeling paste, but enjoys exploring all artistic mediums. Her work blends realism with abstract elements, combining the human form with emotion and spiritual expression. A strong spiritual connection runs through everything she creates, rooted in her belief that we are all made in God's image. Through her art, she hopes to bring to life the deeper truths and emotions that are often felt in the soul before they can be seen.

Lauren's love for art began at a very young age. She started drawing around age two or three, and by fifth grade, she already knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up: an artist. She has always felt that creativity was a gift she was given and a meaningful part of her purpose. As she puts it, "I was created to create."

Her inspiration comes from the world around her, her own experiences, personal growth, and the Holy Spirit. When she isn't creating, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, cooking, taking walks, working out, and finding joy in the everyday blessings around her.

For Lauren, the greatest reward of being an artist is the joy she finds in creating and seeing God work through her art. She hopes to use the gift she's been given to glorify Him and touch the lives of others.
