- ➤ Construction on Fond du Lac Family YMCA and Boys and Girls Club will begin mid-February to upgrade the lobby, kitchen, and wellness center—work that will finish by November; the capital campaign has raised $5.9 million to support this project. FDL Reporter
- ➤ The 18th Reach for the Stars Dinner and Auction will be held Feb. 27 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center to support Boys & Girls Club summer programs. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the event includes dinner, auctions, a cash raffle and remarks from the 2025-26 Youth of the Year. FDL Reporter
- ➤ Parnell’s Place in Oshkosh is asking locals for donations after a fire damaged an employee’s home on Monday evening. Firefighters put out the blaze that spread from a detached garage for two cars to a neighboring house (no injuries) while the restaurant seeks clothing and essentials to support the affected family. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A Union of Concerned Scientists report warns that expanding data centers will drive 68% of Wisconsin’s electricity demand growth by 2030 (a surge that may burden households) and raise pollution unless clean energy policies protect ratepayers. WEC Energy Group plans to shift costs to large customers and invest in renewables. FDL Reporter

- ➤ Three children who have faced health challenges will travel to Phoenix Feb. 19-22 for a sponsored Brewers Spring Training trip and will throw out the first pitch on Feb. 21, courtesy of Aurora Health Care. The VIP experience includes meeting players and touring the clubhouse. WBAY
