- ➤ Following a deep freeze, fishing clubs measured 15 to 18 inches of ice on Lake Winnebago Sunday — up from lower readings in mid-January. The ice is forecast to thicken further as cold conditions persist ahead of sturgeon spearing season starting Feb. 14. KFIZ
