- ➤ Bethel United Church of Christ collected over 530 food items on Feb. 8 for The Salvation Army Food Pantry on County Road K as part of the Souper Sunday initiative during Super Bowl weekend. Forty-five church members donated the items to help local families facing food insecurity. FDL Reporter

- ➤ At the school board meeting last night, officials split the vote on a $3.5 million budget cut proposal that would remove up to 20 teachers & 6 library staff. The board will reconvene a workshop on Feb. 23 to address the district's budget deficit. NBC 26
