EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Fond du Lac School District Board meets today at 5 p.m. (72 W. Ninth St.) to review 2026-27 budget cuts, fill a board vacancy, and preview consolidation planning for possible school closures. Proposed cuts include raising class sizes and reducing programs to address a $3.5M deficit. FDL Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ SSM Health Behavioral Health at Camelot Drive in Fond du Lac will expand trauma therapy using a $7,500 gift from the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation to fund EMDR training for clinicians and new equipment. The training will occur in two 20-hour weekend sessions to help meet rising care needs. Envision Greater FDL
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Reliable Residence, a housing platform started by physician Christina Henderson, is expanding into Fond du Lac to link travel nurses and doctors with safe, furnished housing while giving local homeowners extra income. Henderson says the program will ease hospital staffing issues by providing secure 30+ day stays. KFIZ

- ➤ Marian University women lost 2-3 in game one of the NCHA Slaats Cup Quarterfinals to Lake Forest today with power play goals giving their opponents a narrow edge. Marian must win game two to force a mini-game. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University baseball opened its season with a 6-5 loss to Wartburg after a late two-run lead faded (each team had 7 hits and 4 errors), marking the program’s earliest season opener in its history. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University men’s hockey lost its NCHA Harris Cup opener 4-1 to Trine after falling behind early when Trine scored within 43 seconds, and Marian must win game two today to force a mini game. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian women's basketball closed their season today with a 73-49 win over Rockford as the team surged in the fourth quarter (seniors celebrated a memorable final game). Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University track and field continued its indoor season at Titan Challenge where four athletes competed. Sophomore Grace Blauert cleared 3.10 m (10-2) to set a new school record, and senior Matthew Linn and freshman Malik Holmes improved their marks in shot put and sprint events. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University baseball beat Hope 5-3 for its first season win after junior Ryan O’Toole & Jason Sims scored key runs, giving the Sabres a historic edge in their first meeting since 2005. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University hockey forced overtime in a 3-2 loss to Trine, ending their playoff run. Junior Hayden Tuba scored with 26 seconds left in the opening period and junior Nolan Flint tied the game before Trine won in extra time. Envision Greater FDL
