ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Metomen home was lost to a fire on Thursday afternoon after a controlled burn spread from a ditch to the lawn and then to the house—officials confirmed no one was home and firefighters quickly arrived. FDL Reporter
- ➤ Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue responded to an apartment fire at 171 S Royal Avenue just after 8 p.m. on March 12, 2025—a blaze that damaged a second-story kitchen and caused water damage below while investigators suspect a left-on stove led to the fire and displaced three adults, an infant and one family. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 25-year-old woman from Appleton was caught early Thursday when a state trooper clocked her Mercury Milan at 84 mph in a 70 mph zone on I-41 and officers from several agencies chased her car, using tire deflation devices in Fond du Lac to end the pursuit—she now faces charges for drunk driving and evading arrest. - ➤ Sky watchers in Fond du Lac will see a total lunar eclipse early Friday morning as the moon passes through Earth’s shadow and appears red due to sunlight bending through moisture in Earth’s atmosphere—there may be some cloud cover. The eclipse starts at 1:26 AM, lasts about one hour, and the moon is fully in view again at 3:47 AM. KFIZ

- ➤ On April 1, Wisconsin voters will decide whether to add the voter ID law to the state constitution, a change that would make it harder for courts and lawmakers to alter the rule.
