- ➤ Open Door Artists of Fond du Lac are hosting their 16th annual exhibit 'Vignette' at Langdon Divers Gallery inside the Fond du Lac Public Library from today to May 6. Fifteen local artists show unique views on the theme and a public reception is set for April 24 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.—the event offers a chance to see diverse creative works. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ The Fond du Lac Public Library is hosting a variety of free April events for youth, teens, and families—today’s Homeschool Hour at 1:30 p.m. and Teen Badge & Make at 6 p.m. kick off a month that includes a Giant Fairytale Forest challenge from April 3 through April 5 and additional sessions like crafting, board games, and writing workshops. - ➤ The Fond du Lac Public Library has begun installing 240 solar panels on its roof that will produce up to 400 kilowatts of electricity daily and save more than $17,000 a year — the panels are scheduled for installation by April 4 with full integration by the end of May, and the library will remain open for patrons. This project, planned over nearly three years, will not affect access to the library or its adjacent bookstore. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ On April 1, the Fond du Lac Public Library began installing 240 500 watt solar panels on its roof, a system expected to generate up to 400 kilowatts each day and cover more than 25% of its power needs. Library officials said the panels will be fully installed by April 4 and integrated by the end of May+ the project is expected to save over $17,000 a year. KFIZ

- ➤ On April 1, voters in Fond du Lac reelected city council incumbents Tiffany Brault, Keith Heisler and Patrick Mullen while also choosing new school board members Karen Moehn, Luke Frame and Tom Oliver as a local school district referendum failed; referenda in North Fond du Lac and Oakfield were rejected with only the measure in Waupun passing. - ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says new fishing licenses for the 2025/26 season are now available. Individual licenses cost $20 and spousal licenses cost $31 - buyers can get them online or at local service centers. WBAY
