- ➤ Andrea Cisar from Coleman, now a resident in Burnett and founder of Stone House Digital, was named YP of the Month (April) by Envision Greater Fond du Lac. She said local young professionals should seek more development, connections, and opportunities while keeping the area’s small town charm alive. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ The Gratitude Club is inviting the community to an open house on April 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 295 Ruggles Street to share its recovery programs and upcoming services. A press conference at 5:00 p.m. will announce a new capital campaign to build an 8-bed women’s sober living home—supported by local partners. KFIZ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Marian University will host its 3rd Annual C.A.R.E Conference on April 11 at 8:00 a.m. in the Stayer Dining Room, where professionals and students will learn self-care strategies, manage ethical challenges, and earn four continuing education units — the event also offers a complimentary breakfast, networking opportunities, and a raffle. - ➤ Fond du Lac School District lost a $40 million referendum on April 1 – the vote means planned improvements for school operations and security will not go forward. The Fond du Lac Education Association said it is disappointed and urged the school board to use general funds to lessen cuts to staff and student services. KFIZ

- ➤ Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley was elected chief justice on Thursday — her two-year term will begin May 1 and end on July 31 when she retires. Justice Jill Karofsky will take over the role in July as Bradley steps down. FDL Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Tickets are now on sale for the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation's annual Samaritan Cash Raffle that funds the Samaritan Clinic serving about 500 underinsured patients. Ticket prices are $50 each (four for $150 or nine for $300) and the drawing with a $50,000 top prize will be held at noon on May 14 (via the SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac Facebook page). - ➤ Marian University women’s lacrosse lost at home to Edgewood 13—10. The Sabres closed the gap with four unanswered goals late but could not overcome a strong lead from Edgewood. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University men's lacrosse lost 8-5 to Beloit as the Sabres struggled on defense — they ended a four-game winning streak after Beloit pulled ahead in the final quarter. Envision Greater FDL
