EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Voters in Oakfield will decide if the school district can exceed state limits and add extra funds to support programs for the 2026-27, 2027-28, 2028-29, and 2029-30 school years. A yes vote permits including $700k, $925k, $1,275k & $1,375k while a no vote denies the change. KFIZ
- ➤ The Fond du Lac School District Board approved an operational referendum question to address a coming budget deficit by letting the district exceed state revenue limits by $7.5 million annually through 2029–30. Voters will decide on the measure during the Spring Election ballot. KFIZ
- ➤ Moraine Park Technical College earned the 2026-2027 Military Friendly Schools Gold designation and a Military Spouse Friendly recognition using public data and survey responses. The college will be featured in the April issue of G.I. Jobs magazine as part of its longstanding support for veterans and their families. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ Grounds in Fond du Lac remain saturated as heavy rains push river levels higher in neighboring counties (the Baraboo River is expected to crest at 17.6 ft early Wednesday and the Embarrass River exceeds bankfull stage) with more rain forecast over the next 10 days. KFIZ

- ➤ Governor Tony Evers signed two PFAS bills into law today, releasing $125 million to improve drinking water safety statewide (allocating $80 million for local communities and $35 million for well compensation grants). WBAY

- ➤ Agnesian HealthCare Foundation established the Medical Staff Endowment Fund at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital to support patient care, staff well-being, and clinical excellence.
