COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ On March 22, Holy Family Catholic Community held its annual Soup du Jour fundraiser where more than 25 local restaurants and groups donated soups that sold over 1,500 cups and raised over $6,000 for local nonprofits; the parish then contributed additional funds to ensure the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (Holy Family Conference) and Holyland Food Pantry each received $4,500 to support people in need. - ➤ Marian University’s Forensic Science Association is hosting its Crime Scene House Open House today and tomorrow from 4:00 PM—7:00 PM at 74 S National Ave where visitors can test their skills as first responders in a staged crime scene set up by FSA students. Attendees can ask experts—who will explain lab results—to form their own guesses about the evidence. KFIZ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Marian University’s Dr. George E. Koonce Scholars Program raised $250,000 to match a $250,000 gift from the Green Bay Packers Foundation—bringing the total donation to $500,000 to help remove barriers to higher education. The funds were raised a year early before the June 2026 deadline. KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The DNR and County Deer Advisory Councils are asking the public to offer feedback on deer management plans for the 2025 season via an online survey open until April 13—this input will help set harvest quotas and management zones across the state. Residents in Fond du Lac County can also join a meeting at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on April 30th at 6 PM to discuss local concerns. KFIZ

- ➤ SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic at 420 E. Division Street welcomed Morgan Orsburne, an internal medicine nurse practitioner—now accepting patients—who will offer a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care. She earned her degrees from Silver Lake College of the Holy Family and Chamberlain University and has a special focus on cardiology and palliative care. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ Seniors Derek Wills and Aaron Velasco of Marian University men’s volleyball were named All-NACC after Wednesday’s announcement; Wills earned his fifth all‐conference honor with top offensive numbers while Velasco, who switched to libero in late February (and earned a second team award), posted strong defensive stats. - ➤ Marian University Sabres men's volleyball ended their season after losing to Dominican in the NACC Tournament quarterfinals in four sets (25-23, 25-15, 21-25, 25-18). The team won a set in the tournament for the first time since 2021. Envision Greater FDL
