- ➤ Fond du Lac Community Theatre will present Oliver! at Goodrich Little Theatre from April 16 to April 19. The musical features local performers with shows at 7 p.m. on April 16-18 and at 2 p.m. on April 19, offering an engaging take on the classic Oliver Twist story. KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Evers signed a new law on April 9 allowing Native American students to wear traditional tribal regalia at graduations and school events statewide. Tribal nations, the ACLU, and education advocates supported the legislation to provide clear statewide protections. FDL Reporter
- ➤ Milwaukee attorney Andrew Mishlove warned that while hemp is legal in Wisconsin, any THC in a driver’s blood can lead to an OWI because of a zero-tolerance law. Officers may use roadside tests and documentation (such as a certificate of analysis) to secure probable cause. FDL Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, Apr. 9, the state health department unveiled a two-year plan for spending $31 million in opioid settlement funds for prevention, treatment + recovery programs, including targeted funds for tribal members, pregnant and postpartum women, and families. State lawmakers will have the final say on the fund allocations. FDL Reporter

- ➤ Sophomore Adrian Calderon-Castro was named to the All NACC Second Team on Thursday and earned his first award after leading the Sabre offense nearly all season (he ranked third in kills per set and became only the fourth player to reach 300 kills in a season). Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University women’s flag football team swept two games this weekend, beating Rockford 27+0 and rallying for a 27+14 comeback over UW+Oshkosh. Freshman Holly Goodwin led scoring with three touchdowns as the Sabres secured decisive wins. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Sabre softball split the series against Rockford by winning game one 7-0 and losing game two 3-1, with juniors driving early scoring (keeping the contest competitive) as Rockford snapped a seven-game winning streak. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Marian University men’s golf team tied for third at the Firebird Spring Invitational with a score of 312. Wyatt Pfeiffer posted a 73 and the Sabres contributed strong rounds throughout their spring season. Envision Greater FDL

A 2.2-mile ruck march/walk hosted by Moraine Park Technical College and Marian University to raise awareness of veteran suicide and honor those who have lost their lives too soon. Free and Open to the public.
