- ➤ A 43-year-old Fond du Lac man fired rounds inside an apartment on April 11 after making suicidal and law enforcement threats, and police later used an explosive breach device to take him into custody — prompting a temporary shelter in place and road closures on National Avenue. KFIZ
- ➤ Consumers selling cars online have been warned about fake check scams—scammers message sellers on sites like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, offering a check deposit that later turns out to be fraudulent when extra funds must be returned. KFIZ

- ➤ On Saturday, April 12 the full moon named the Pink Moon did not show a pink hue because its name honors the wild ground phlox that blooms in early spring—observers noted it reached full status at 7:22 p.m. before quickly beginning to wane, appearing smaller as a micromoon. KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City workers are repairing roads and updating utilities on Main Street, North Butler Street and Poplar Street in Fond du Lac. Main Street work runs from April 7 to August 29 while gas main moves and other upgrades carry on through October — traffic remains open for local businesses. FDL Reporter
