- ➤ Waupun Business Alliance is hosting a community job fair on May 7 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Waupun Community Center (520 McKinley Street) where local employers will meet job seekers, with sponsorship from Tenneco and SSM Health and free admission and parking. KFIZ
- ➤ Fond du Lac Elementary students will plant an Arbor Day tree at the Park Pavilion in Lakeside Park on Friday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. as the City celebrates Arbor Day and earns its 38th Tree City Award (Tree City USA honor) with tree donation from Festival Foods. KFIZ

- ➤ The Congregation of Sisters of Saint Agnes announced a three-part speaker series, To Form A More Perfect Union: Division and Unity at 250, at the Prairie Theater and Event Center (400 University Avenue). - ➤ Two new reports show that Wisconsin health care costs are 55% above the national average and procedure prices vary widely, prompting local employers to cut back on hiring and wages (a challenge that could affect family budgets) unless full price transparency is enforced. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ The Fond du Lac Bird and Nature Alliance will host a free presentation on bird migration with wildlife educator Bill Volkert (27 years with the Wisconsin DNR) on Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. in Fond du Lac. KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fond du Lac voters narrowly rejected a school district referendum to exceed revenue limits on April 7, and school officials plan to explore new funding options. They will assess alternative proposals in the coming weeks. FDL Reporter

- ➤ Harold Berfiend has been named CFO for Froedtert ThedaCare and will begin his role on May 11, overseeing financial operations, strategy, and budgeting. He replaces interim CFO Mark Thompson, who retires July 3 (supporting the system's commitment to community care). Envision Greater FDL
