- ➤ Fond du Lac’s Gratitude Club invites residents to visit Phoenix Nest (a sober living home for women in recovery) at an open house on Saturday, May 2 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM featuring a ‘Run for the Roses’ cash raffle drawing with prizes of $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000. KFIZ

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A tornado hit late Friday near the intersection of Abt + Mole Brook roads in Ringle, knocking down trees and power lines and damaging a home and barn while neighbors helped clear debris. The National Weather Service will survey damage Saturday morning. WBAY
- ➤ On Friday, Apr. 17 the National Weather Service put a flood watch in place from 1 p.m. until 7 a.m. Saturday as showers and storms added more rain to soggy ground. The Fond du Lac area stayed dry — towns to the north began evacuating due to swollen rivers. KFIZ

- ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources warns private well owners in Fond du Lac that heavy rain may harm water quality and urges testing if water tastes, looks or smells different — owners should use safe water until a licensed expert disinfects and retests the well. WBAY
- ➤ The ThedaCare Family of Foundations will host a comedy event featuring improv by Brad Sherwood and Jonathan Mangum on Friday, May 29 at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center (400 W. College Ave.) to support health care innovation in our community. Ticket sales start at $45 to fund patient care research. Envision Greater FDL
