- ➤ Harley-Davidson will recall over 16,000 Softail motorcycles from 2025 and 2026 due to a rear brake line issue that may cause brake fluid leaks and loss of rear brakes — affected owners will receive free repairs and notification letters on May 18. KFIZ

- ➤ EAA is seeking help for AirVenture Oshkosh as more than 750 temporary positions in retail, security, event support, parking, and bartending are available for the world’s largest aviation celebration. Hiring events begin Saturday, April 25 at the EAA Aviation Museum (3000 Poberezny Road, Oshkosh), and applicants are encouraged to apply online. KFIZ

- ➤ Marian University’s Forensic Science Association is hosting a Crime Scene House open house this Thursday and Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at 74 S National Ave (across from campus) to let visitors work through clues in an interactive mock investigation. KFIZ
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Heavy rain from April 14-15 forced the city to divert wastewater into storm sewers at six sites (the water was heavily diluted) and into nearby creeks and ponds. Officials say the water poses no public health risk and advise residents to avoid contact with standing water and keep pets away. FDL Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Department of Health Services is reviewing rules (aimed at reducing disruptions) that limit methadone take-home doses to 13 per week, forcing patients to drive long distances and attend daily clinic visits compared with the federal standard of 28 doses.
