- ➤ Third grade students from Lakeshore Elementary read a proclamation confirming Fond du Lac as a Tree City USA (for 37 years) and then planted a Redpointe Maple Tree at Lakeside Park (on Arbor Day). KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wisconsin lawmakers are considering Bradyn’s Law—named after 15-year-old Bradyn Bohn—to let prosecutors charge alleged sextortion offenders with felony murder if their actions lead to suicide. The bill, developed with the state Department of Justice and supported by hearing testimony from Bohn’s family, will now move through the legislature for a vote. FDL Reporter
- ➤ The Scott Street Railroad Crossing in Fond du Lac will close at 7 a.m. April 28 for emergency repairs by Canadian National Railway and remain closed for a week until reopening on May 6. Drivers must follow a detour along Hickory—Johnson—Main streets during the closure. FDL Reporter

- ➤ On April 25, 2025, the NFL Draft campus in Green Bay overflowed with 205,000 fans while only 125,000 had seats, so many watched the first round picks on TV screens and the jumbo screen at Lambeau field — the Packers selected wide receiver Matthew Golden from Texas as the 23rd overall pick, marking the first receiver picked in the first round since 2002.
