A consumer reported to DATCP that a scammer claiming to be from DirecTV warned that the DVR would soon stop working and offered an unnecessary upgrade for $200—after receiving the same model and multiple email inconsistencies, the consumer did not pay.

Starting Monday, April 28, Scott Street will be closed at the railroad crossing for one week so that crews from Canadian National can complete emergency repairs.

The road will reopen Tuesday, May 6, and a signed detour will guide drivers via Hickory, Johnson, and Main Streets.
