- ➤ The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership announced the 2025 summer event season with a Saturday Farmers Market running from May 17 to October 25 on Main Street as it changes locations during the Main Street makeover—additional events include a Summer Wine Walk on June 13, five Night Market dates from June to August, and the 18th Annual Fondue Fest on September 6 with food, music, and family activities. This schedule will offer varied opportunities for local vendors and community members to shop and enjoy downtown festivities. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Fond du Lac Festivals announced that the 46th annual Walleye Weekend will occur June 6—8 with senior co-chairs Amber Bodart from Verve a Credit Union and Joe Venhuizen from Envision Greater Fond du Lac joined by junior co-chairs Holly Brenner from C.D. Smith and Grant Monroe from The Arc of Fond du Lac. The festival will offer returning events like the SSM Health Walleye Run/Walk and new activities such as a Fun on the Run Animal Racing Show and Inflatables Village while supporting local non-profit organizations through food and drink sales. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ State officials reported that over 17,000 deer crashes occurred in 2024 — Fond du Lac saw 683 crashes while Waukesha, Washington, and St. Croix counties had the highest numbers. They warned drivers to be extra cautious this spring as deer activity increases the risk of collisions. FDL Reporter

- ➤ The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership launched the Art Lot mural project to paint eleven unique murals on private building exteriors at 13 Fourth Street using various surfaces. Painting began on May 6 and will continue throughout May — a special public viewing is scheduled for May 17 from 10:00 a.m. to noon during the Downtown Fond du Lac Farmers Market. - ➤ Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Project G.R.I.L.L. held its annual unveiling event on May 9 at Festival Foods in Fond du Lac where high school students displayed working grills to compete for Best in Show and Community Choice Awards. The event offered academic scholarships and food sales from Festival Brat Barn (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) to raise funds for the program as KFIZ’s Shawn Kiser hosted. KFIZ

- ➤ Today, the City of Fond du Lac shared its weekly update on construction projects, detailing repairs and utility work on Main Street, N Butler, Poplar, Algoma, Cottage, Oaklawn and E Merrill from May 9 to May 16—N Butler is closed to through traffic while most other streets remain open with limited parking and minor disruptions. REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ New data from Realtor.com shows that homes in Fond du Lac County sold for a median price of $242,500 in February, up from $225,000 in January — a rise of 7.8%. The report adds that single-family homes reached $239,950 and condos and townhomes climbed to $300,000 — with 79 sales recorded, up from 67 last year. FDL Reporter
