Four Fond du Lac police officers and one Wisconsin State Trooper are being honored at Hamilton Park today for National Peace Officer Memorial Day.

Families and community members gathered during National Police Week to remember the fallen officers and their sacrifice.

Sadie Marx has joined National Exchange Bank & Trust as its vice president of deposit operations at the downtown Fond du Lac office.

She brings over 25 years of banking experience from roles including teller and branch manager — her new role will manage deposit accounts and strengthen the bank's operations.

Fond du Lac will host Milwaukee historian John Gurda at the Center—Fond du Lac’s Hub for Active Older Adults on May 21 at 6:00 p.m. as he presents Milwaukee on Tap: The History of Breweries and Beer, a free event that explains how beer and local breweries shaped Wisconsin’s economy during Historic Preservation Month.

The inaugural Epic Marathon will be held on Sunday at 7 a.m. at the Epic Events Center in Ashwaubenon—runners will compete in a full marathon, half marathon, 5k, and kids run while fireworks and a free concert featuring former Guns n’ Roses drummer Steven Adler add extra excitement.

Max Denning has been named the first head coach for Marian University women’s flag football — the team will begin its inaugural season in spring 2026.

Denning brings experience from the Oregon Ravens and UW-Oshkosh to build a program that supports students’ development.
