- ➤ On Saturday, May 17, the first downtown Fond du Lac farmers market launched as dozens of vendors offered produce, ready-to-plant items, food, jewelry, gourmet coffee, and crafts with live music & a dog-friendly policy. The market will run every Saturday through October 25 except September 6 when Fondue Fest is held and will move later this summer due to Mainstreet construction. KFIZ
- ➤ The US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla is offering free boat safety checks today at the Fond du Lac Fleet Farm parking lot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.—boaters can expect 15-minute inspections of key safety items, including life jackets and fire extinguishers, to receive a yearly sticker if they pass. - ➤ State law enforcement will begin increased seat belt checks on May 19th as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign, which runs until June 1 + authorities expect tougher stops on busy Memorial Day travel to help reverse a drop in buckle-up rates from 92% in 2023 to 89% in 2024. KFIZ
