- ➤ Memorial Day Parade marches Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. in downtown from Main and Rees to Veterans Park (reopening ribbon cutting set for Friday, May 22); city offices, transit, and services adjust for the holiday as Byron holds a tribute at town hall. KFIZ

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Fond du Lac School District was recognized nationally by the Education Scorecard for rising in reading and math, with a 200-place leap between 2021 and 2025. The district credited high-level teaching, a new literacy curriculum, TOSA roles, and a Boys and Girls Club partnership for strong academic gains. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation donated $10,000 to buy books for children ages zero to 5 for use during well-child visits at SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic today — the donation supports early literacy through the Reach Out and Read program. FDL Reporter
