  • Multiple Fond du Lac businesses will close this month as The Hive will hold its final business day on June 29 and Wood’s Floral will end operations on June 13 with staff set to merge with Haentze Floral Co. Local updates include Church of Our Savior’s centennial celebration, the return of Pop’s Popcorn, popular outdoor dining at Sunset on the Water, and Blandine House opening its second sober living residence—each marking a vibrant lineup of community events.  FDL Reporter

CRIME NEWS

  • Taylor Schabusiness, serving a life sentence since 2022 for killing and dismembering her lover, will stand trial on Oct. 27, 28, and 29 for allegedly attacking a prison employee at Taycheedah Correctional Institution—she reportedly lunged at a nurse and a guard after requesting help for a staple in her arm in July 2024.  NBC 26
  • Jeremy Stoll was sentenced yesterday to nine years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision after he was convicted of First Degree Reckless Homicide — Party to a Crime — for a drug overdose death in Lamartine on June 11 when Facebook messages linked him to drug sales.  KFIZ
  • Convicted murderer Taylor Schabusiness, serving life for murder, will face trial from October 27 to 29 for attacking a prison guard at Taycheedah Correctional, after lunging at a nurse and being wheeled in by seven deputies—she was warned by the judge to avoid further outbursts.  WBAY
  • Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney said Jeremy J. Stoll, 43, was convicted of first-degree reckless homicide on Feb. 13 for his role in a 2022 overdose death in Lamartine and he will serve nine years in prison—plus 15 years of extended supervision.  FDL Reporter

  • The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders lost 10-1 to the Woodchucks as the team did not record a hit until the fourth inning and scored one run in the ninth to avoid a shutout. Pitcher Tyson Potts struck out 12 batters — he now has the league record for single-game strikeouts, and the Dock Spiders will host the Green Bay Rockers on June 5 during Caleb Durbin Night.  Envision Greater FDL
