- ➤ The City of Fond du Lac will host two ribbon cutting ceremonies on Tuesday, June 17th to launch new playground equipment at Buttermilk Creek Park and Russell Park. The Buttermilk Creek playground is a collaborative project with Burke Playground Equipment that offers wheelchair access and inclusive design — while the Russell Park playground features baseball-themed play structures developed from local citizen ideas. - ➤ Fond du Lac businessman Sam Meyer held an open house and ribbon cutting to showcase the refurbished 1860 building he relocated from 1st and Marr Street to Main and Merrill in December 2023—he has now incorporated the historic structure into his new office. KFIZ
- ➤ Society Insurance celebrated its 110th anniversary on June 8th, reflecting on its evolution from a workers’ compensation company founded in 1915 by threshermen to a firm offering specialized commercial insurance in nine states—its headquarters on Camelot Drive in Fond du Lac has been its base since 1993. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ 68-year-old Mark Snider pleaded not guilty in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court on charges of Second-Degree Reckless Homicide and First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety after his vehicle was used as a dangerous weapon to intentionally collide with Elijah Sowin’s motorcycle on March 28—he will return to court on July 24 for a plea and sentencing hearing.
