- ➤ SSM Health is giving $45,000 to Blandine House Inc., a nonprofit treatment facility for men with substance addiction, to fund a second recovery house and upgrade its backyard into a patio for client recreation — the donation is part of an ongoing community benefit program that improves access to care. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A lithium-ion battery overheated while charging in a Fond du Lac home late Wednesday night and caused a living room explosion that the resident quickly extinguished—no one was injured. NBC 26
- ➤ A family cat died from smoke inhalation in an electrical fire on Skyline Circle in Ripon Thursday morning — emergency teams rescued other pets and contained the blaze while the home sustained severe smoke and soot damage and remains uninhabitable. WBAY

- ➤ After three weeks of steady declines, gas prices rose on Thursday, June 19 to nearly $3.00 per gallon in the area—Fond du Lac County’s average increased to $2.99 from $2.88 last week while stations in nearby counties reached up to $3.09 per gallon. KFIZ

- ➤ The National Weather Service warns that Fond du Lac and nearby counties may face a chance of storms and a heat index above 100 today and over the weekend.
