Good morning, Fond du Lac.

The local fundraiser for veterans kicked off Friday with a first-time Veteran Olympics, food & music at Shadows Bar in School Hill where American Legion Post 477 from St. Nazianz presented a $71,000 check and hosted Saturday Tractor Days with a parade and raffle baskets.

Security experts warn Fond du Lac residents that public charging kiosks today may be tampered with to steal data since cybercriminals can install skimming devices to capture sensitive information; residents are advised to use the Charge Only setting or a USB data blocker when charging their devices.

Bella Mora, a Fond du Lac High School graduate, was awarded the 2026 Fond du Lac Community Theatre Memorial Scholarship and will receive $1,000 on July 21.

She will begin studies at Front Range Community College before transferring to Colorado State University.
