- ➤ In 2024, SSM Health donated $20,000 to the Save a Smile Dental Program, $15,000 to Drug Free Communities, and $45,000 to Blandine House Inc.—the contributions supported local dental care, substance use treatment, and mental health efforts while its community benefit ministry totaled over $568,000. - ➤ Envision Greater Fond du Lac hosted a ribbon cutting for Van Ert Electric’s new facility at 415 Trowbridge Drive on June 21. - ➤ On Saturday, June 21, a 49-year-old Ripon man drove recklessly after running a red light on State Highway 23 near Rosendale and sped toward Fond du Lac where a Fond du Lac County K9 Deputy used a PIT maneuver to stop his car; he is facing charges for fleeing & eluding an officer, hit and run, first degree recklessly endangering safety, and operating while intoxicated after a five-mile pursuit that left one squad car damaged with no injuries reported. - ➤ A 49-year-old Ripon man was arrested on June 21 after a 5-mile chase on I-41 in Fond du Lac County when his vehicle struck a guardrail and a trooper's car before a K—9 deputy forced his car into a ditch, and he now faces charges of fleeing, recklessly endangering safety, hit-and-run, and operating while intoxicated.
