- ➤ Fond du Lac police say a 38-year-old woman was attacked with an axe on the 300-block of E. Merrill Ave on Sunday afternoon—she underwent extensive surgery for serious cuts—and a 34-year-old man was arrested in Germantown following a brief pursuit. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today the City of Fond du Lac posted its weekly construction update on its website, detailing projects inside the corporate boundary. The update covers work such as the Promen Drive Bridge replacement — scheduled from June 16 through fall — and road work on Main Street, N. Butler, Poplar, Algoma, Cottage, Oaklawn and E. Merrill Avenues with impacts ranging from temporary closures to limited parking. KFIZ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is meeting from Wednesday through Friday to vote on recommendations for five vaccines, including COVID-19 and the flu for adults and children. This meeting is the first since Health and Human Services Secretary RFK Jr. replaced all 17 members with eight new members (many of whom are vaccine skeptics). WBAY

- ➤ Homes in Fond du Lac County had a median list price drop to $374,900 in May from $380,000 in April, with an average size of 1,616 square feet at $206 per square foot. New listings reached 132 — a 24.5% increase from last May — and homes were on the market for a median of 39 days. FDL Reporter

- ➤ The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders won their road game against the Woodchucks today after improving from recent losses, with early scoring and solid pitching that featured Noah Wech and shortstop Jaron Cotton+Tannis Lange. - ➤ The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders defeated the Growlers 13 to 3 at Herr Baker Field after a first inning rally produced 10 runs and ended a three game skid.
