- ➤ An 18-year-old Campbellsport motorcyclist died after his motorcycle struck a pickup truck at the intersection of County Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive in the Town of Auburn on Tuesday, June 24, as officials said the motorcycle's speed was a factor; the 32-year-old pickup driver was treated and released and the investigation continues. - ➤ An 18-year-old Campbellsport motorcyclist died in Auburn at 3:51 p.m. on June 24 when his motorcycle struck a pickup truck coming east from a stop sign—paramedics treated and released the 32-year-old truck driver while investigators examine the crash that closed County V for about four hours. - ➤ A semi crashed on I-41 Tuesday, June 24 near the southbound lanes between Main Street and Highway 151 at 12:15 a.m. and dumped 130 gallons of diesel as officers and crews diverted traffic on Hickory Street and cleared the roadway while the Wisconsin DNR was alerted to prevent fuel from reaching the Fond du Lac River — no injuries were reported and traffic reopened by 4 a.m. KFIZ

- ➤ The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Tuesday morning that state regulators may force landowners to clean up PFAS spills before the chemicals are officially deemed hazardous — a decision that overturns a lawsuit by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. Governor Tony Evers and environmental advocates celebrated the move as a step toward protecting health and preserving natural resources. WBAY
- ➤ A cold front moved over Fond du Lac County on June 23, 2025, triggering severe thunderstorms that knocked down wires, snapped utility poles and damaged structures. The storm produced 70 mph gusts that cut power for about 4000 customers + crews are working on repairs as scattered showers are expected in the coming days. KFIZ

- ➤ SSM Health donated $15,000 to Fondy CARES, a school-based mental health program in the Fond du Lac School District that provides on-site therapy to 6,100 students.
