COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ For the 9th consecutive year, the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership worked with the University of Wisconsin Madison Division of Extension to launch the FDL Fresh 5 Farmers Market Donation Program where vendors will donate extra produce, grains, protein and baked goods to help community members in need. Donations will be collected by Fondy Food Pantry each Saturday from today through October 18 (except September 6 for Fondue Fest) and could total up to 3,000 lbs annually. KFIZ
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership said the Downtown Fond du Lac Art Lot project is complete after painting eleven unique murals on private building exteriors at 13 Fourth Street. The murals, which measure about 20 feet wide by 10 feet high and were professionally seal coated for protection, showcase themes of Fond du Lac’s history, community, and natural features — adding a colorful, inviting touch to the area. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Postal Service said the price of a Forever stamp will rise from 73 cents to 78 cents on Sunday, July 13—part of a set of fee increases that will boost costs for metered letters, domestic postcards, international mail, and additional ounce charges. KFIZ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ ThedaCare Medical Center-Oshkosh’s exterior work nears completion after the March 2024 groundbreaking with new floors, paint, and paving along the Fox River. The 114,000 sq. ft. campus will offer emergency and inpatient care and is set to finish in late 2025—about 60 new jobs are expected as caregiver recruitment continues. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital will host a community blood drive on Tuesday, July 15 from 11 am – 4 pm in the Plaza Level Conference Center at 430 E. Division Street, where donors can choose an electronic gift card, a charitable donation, or bonus rewards points. Donors should eat before donating, bring a photo ID, and have not donated blood since May 20 while appointments are encouraged. KFIZ

- ➤ The Dock Spiders rallied from a seven-run deficit to secure a 15+14 extra innings win over the Lakeshore Chinooks with key hits from Tommy Googins and Jarren Sanderson and a strong finish from Camden Broske.
