- ➤ The Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac named Kyle Petrie Board Member of the Year on July 17 for his help on two museum committees and for starting an annual golf event to assist families in need. He has served on the board since January 2023 and brings finance skills from Mayville Engineering Corp—further growing local support for the museum. KFIZ

- ➤ A De Pere woman pleaded not guilty to 25 charges after a high-speed chase downtown that damaged multiple cars and sparked fires with several injuries—she is set to appear in court on August 29. WBAY
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A study by UW Oshkosh shows that the annual EAA AirVenture fly-in brings $257 million in economic benefits to the Fox Valley — with $171 million in direct spending and an extra $86 million boosting local businesses. The event, which drew 686,000 visitors in 2024 and created over 2,000 jobs, will begin on July 21. KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ ADVOCAP and local partners will conduct the summer Point in Time Count on July 23—starting at 10:30 p.m. and ending at 2:00 a.m.—to count individuals without proper housing in the Winnebagoland area; trained volunteers will canvas streets, parks, and vehicles to help direct funding for local housing support. This count is part of a national HUD initiative to assess and address homelessness. KFIZ
