- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County announced a $1.95M capital campaign called Building Connection, Inspiring Potential to fund a new building that will cut down the waiting list and expand mentoring services. They have raised $1.066M so far — the funds will pay off the building loan and enhance youth programs. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ Marian University will hold its 44th Annual Business and Industry Awards Dinner on October 22 at the Marian University Stayer Center at 45 South National Avenue in Fond du Lac—starting with a reception at 5:00 pm, dinner at 6:00 pm, and an awards program at 7:00 pm with President Aaron Sadoff serving as Master of Ceremonies. Tickets cost $150 to support student scholarships, and nominations for awards are due by August 1. KFIZ
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Devon Neuman, serving life for his role in a fatal shooting outside Press Box Tavern in Fond du Lac in 2017, lost his appeal when the court ruled that he provided the gun used to kill Logan Foster — evidence from surveillance video and witness statements supported the decision. WBAY
- ➤ A 39-year-old Fond du Lac woman was hospitalized after being attacked with a knife during a domestic dispute on July 29 at an apartment complex on Forest Ave, and authorities arrested a 43-year-old man following a high-risk traffic stop hours later. FDL Reporter
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews worked on the damage at the Main and Johnson Streets intersection after concrete buckled in the heat Monday afternoon — they replaced red brick crosswalks with regular concrete and kept northbound lanes and the southbound east turn lane closed — until the roadway reopened today at 7 a.m. KFIZ

- ➤ On July 30, SSM Health donated $10,000 to Charis Pregnancy & Family Help Center to support its Charis-Vida Medical Clinic that provides free, confidential care and support services to families in Fond du Lac—SSM Health leaders presented the donation to executive director Cindy Sweeney and Development Director Paige Kelley.
