COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ On August 7, the Alto fair's second day featured a huge parade that ran south on County Highway AS before turning west near the Alto Community Center, and the UW marching band joined the parade that started at 1 p.m. KFIZ
- ➤ On August 7th, more than 80 Mercury Marine employees volunteered to build 40 beds for children in need and help support Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Mercury Marine also donated a truck — which will assist the nonprofit in transporting bed supplies for local families. KFIZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ South Main Street in Fond du Lac will close for resurfacing from First to Sixth Street starting August 12 at 6 a.m.—northbound drivers will be detoured via Ninth Street while those heading south are redirected to Military Road and Ninth Street. The closure is part of Phase II of the Main Street Resurfacing Project and will last until the work is complete. FDL Reporter

5-8 p.m. — Avenue 795 — $14-$22 — Celebrate 25 years with a fish fry and live polka music from the Mike Schneider Band.

5:30 AM – 2:30 PM — Lakeside Park — Admission charged — Pedal through an unforgettable 89-mile cycling journey around stunning Lake Winnebago.
