- ➤ After a vehicle fled a traffic stop Wednesday, Fond du Lac County police located two people on Lincoln Road and later recovered a pink backpack containing ammunition—extended handgun magazines and drug paraphernalia—that a property owner found near the scene, though no gun was located. KFIZ
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Travelers from Fond du Lac encountered heavier traffic Friday, August 8 as the three-day music festival Xroads 41 took place near Oshkosh at 4125 S Washburn, featuring 15 bands, food vendors and gate hours from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Friday’s headliners were Country artist Kane Brown & R&B artist Nelly, and tickets were still available at the gate. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Fond du Lac Department of Public Works says South Main Street from 1st Street to 6th Street will be closed for resurfacing at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12 until the project is finished. Motorists traveling north on Main Street must detour at 9th Street to Marr — those heading south from the west or north will use Military Road then 9th Street. KFIZ
