ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ At 2:05 p.m. on August 15, 2025, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Canadian Pacific train with 95 cars experienced a derailment near Reeseville between Maiden Lane Rd and the Village in Lowell—22 cars derailed and some crude oil leaked while emergency crews secured the scene with no injuries reported. - ➤ A Fond du Lac County house fire on Lakeshore Dr in Friendship was stopped on the first floor on Thursday night after a 911 call alerted firefighters+ a pet cat died in the blaze and investigators are checking the cause. WBAY

- ➤ WMC Foundation opened applications for its annual Wisconsin Leads: Executive Fellowship to prepare emerging Wisconsin business leaders. - ➤ The Kiel post office was renamed Friday in honor of state trooper Trevor Casper—who was fatally shot on March 24 while on his first solo assignment—during a ceremony attended by family, friends, and public officials. The renaming serves as a lasting tribute to his bravery and sacrifice. WBAY

- ➤ Marian University Athletics announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2025 today, naming three individual inductees and the 1993 women’s cross country team for reaching the NAIA National Championship and winning the LMC Championship.
