- ➤ The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders had 70 stolen bases at home during the 2025 season, which earned a $3,500 donation from Silica For Your Home to support the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac. - ➤ On August 14, 2025, the Fond du Lac Chapter of Wisconsin Right to Life donated a memorial bench in the preborn babies section at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac. The group held a dedication ceremony — with prayers and personal stories — that honored infants lost in the womb and aims to place a bench in every cemetery in the county. KFIZ
- ➤ Kelley Country Creamery donated over $58,637 to help Old Glory Honor Flight send veterans to Washington, D.C. as part of its annual Sunflowers Taking Flight fundraiser—over eight years the shop has raised nearly enough money for four full flights. WBAY

- ➤ Teacher Jon Meyer at Waters Elementary is preparing his classroom and communication tools to welcome new fifth-grade students as he marks 31 years of teaching. He plans a school day that includes math, reading, art and personalized learning and now focuses on building strong relationships after the changes seen with COVID-19. FDL Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ SSM Health gave $10,000 to NAMI Fond du Lac County to support programs that teach young people and families about mental health—programs including NAMI Hearts—Minds, Ending the Silence, and Wisconsin Mental Health Chat. SSM Health leaders presented the donation to NAMI's coordinator to help expand mental health education and resources in the community. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Aurora Health Care Urgent Care at 210 WI American Drive in Fond du Lac now offers extended weekend hours—open 7 am to 7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays—in response to increased patient demand. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Fond du Lac native Joe Bird left a $612,100 gift to the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation when he died in early April so that his legacy supports growing local health care needs—his years of service on local boards will inspire others to give with care and commitment. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ SSM Health is donating $10,000 to New Beginnings Pregnancy Care Center to cover expenses for a residential facility that supports pregnant and parenting women in crisis and their babies—helping improve access to prenatal and postnatal care.
