HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Tracy Freiberg, a 60-year-old Fond du Lac resident, had a routine checkup that found a heart murmur and led to tests showing she had severe aortic stenosis from a congenital bicuspid valve. She had open-heart surgery in early June at SSM Health Dale Michels Heart & Vascular Care—her treatment shows the value of regular checkups. FDL Reporter
- ➤ Dan George, an SSM Health Pharmacy Division Street clinical pharmacist, was named the newest recipient of the BEE Award (Be Exceptional Everyday) after lead tech Anna Floeter nominated him for his help with bedside medication delivery and translator support.
