- ➤ A local man is partnering with Wheelchairs & Walleyes from North Dakota to install Wisconsin’s first boat lift for disabled individuals at Columbia Park on the east side of Lake Winnebago, with completion planned by May. - ➤ Nominations for the 10th Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest are open now — any made-in-Wisconsin product qualifies — and nominees will be narrowed by popular vote from Aug. 25 through Sept. 12 with the winner announced on Oct. 23 at WMC’s Business Day event in Madison. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ Fond du Lac and Dodge counties are asking the public to help identify two speeding motorcyclists, one who evaded a deputy on I-41 August 17 in white gear with a (GoPro) helmet and another spotted speeding on Highway 26 August 24 (Dodge County Sheriff's Office). WBAY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Four Fond du Lac County school districts are facing different changes after spring referendums—Waupun passed its measure and will improve classrooms with new interactive boards and parking lots, while Fond du Lac cut 27 positions and altered schedules to manage a $7.5 million deficit. North Fond du Lac and Oakfield districts also increased fees and reduced programs to address budget shortfalls and shifting priorities. FDL Reporter

- ➤ The City of Fond du Lac is offering five $250 gift cards to residents who enroll for paperless water billing—current users are automatically entered into the drawing. The enrollment process is available on the city's website—making it easy to switch and reduce paper mail. KFIZ
