Good morning, Fond du Lac.

The Fond du Lac County Labor Council invites residents to the Labor Day parade and celebration on September 1, with the parade beginning at 11 a.m. at Rees and Main and moving south to Western, while staging starts at 9 a.m. at the Fives Giddings & Lewis parking lot and Main Street closes to traffic at 10 a.m. with police enforcing no parking from 8 a.m.

After starting a new job, some residents may soon face a boss imposter scam that tricks new employees into sending gift cards or personal details +a ploy that preys on their eagerness+, and experts advise verifying messages with trusted contacts +to prevent fraud+.

The Fond du Lac County Board of Supervisors ratified a proclamation on August 30 that designates September as Preparedness Month in the county—this initiative reminds residents to prepare emergency plans at home.

County Emergency Management and the Health Department will lead outreach activities throughout the month to provide essential planning resources.
