- ➤ Two major lottery winners were reported from Fond du Lac this week when a Super Cash ticket sold at Philly's On Forth won $350,000 in the September 15 drawing and a Badger 5 ticket won $125,000 two days later—winners have 180 days to claim their prizes. KFIZ

- ➤ Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce announced that 148 Wisconsin-made products will compete in the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest starting Sept 22—highlighting the state's $73.1 billion manufacturing industry—and voting is open to the public; the winner will be crowned at a Business Day in Madison on Oct 23. - ➤ Farmers in Wisconsin face lower soybean prices as the U.S.-China trade war shifts Chinese buyers to Brazilian crops — forcing them to sell harvests quickly and consider planting fewer soybeans next season. Last September the U.S. shipped 1 million metric tons of soybeans to China, a change that has hit local farmers hard. WBAY

- ➤ Marian University will inaugurate its 18th president, Aaron Sadoff, a Fond du Lac native and two-time alumnus, on Thursday, September 25. The event will include an Inauguration Mass at Dorcas Chapel at 11:00 a.m.—an inauguration ceremony at 2:30 p.m. and a campus reception. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ Froedtert ThedaCare Health hospitals were recognized as top performers in the 2025 Birnbaum Quality Leadership Ranking by Vizient for high-quality care after evaluations from July 1 through June 30. Froedtert West Bend Hospital—ranked first out of 243 hospitals—as well as ThedaCare Medical Center Berlin, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Neenah, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton and Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital earned top marks in their cohorts. - ➤ Marian University women’s soccer lost to St. Norbert 0 to 2 in their NACC conference opener as the Sabres fell behind when St. Norbert scored first in the 15th minute. They extended the lead at 50:10 — marking Marian’s first shutout loss this season. Envision Greater FDL
