- ➤ SSM Health donated $20,000 on September 24 to local programs that support homeless families and domestic violence survivors—funds that will provide emergency shelter, crisis intervention, and housing support at the St. Katharine Drexel Shelter and Solution Center. KFIZ
- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County celebrated one year in their new mentoring center—transforming the space into a welcoming hub for youth, volunteers, and families—and marked progress on their $1.95M capital campaign with $1.25M raised so far. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ The Alzheimer’s Association will host the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 4 at Fond du Lac High School — participants will join a Promise Garden ceremony to share memories and honor those affected by the disease. - ➤ The Fond du Lac County Health Department and Healthcare Access Action Team launched a Transportation Resource Guide on September 24 to help residents without rides get to medical appointments and pharmacy visits. The guide—available in both English and Spanish—lists options for Fond du Lac, Ripon, and Waupun/Beaver Dam areas and can be found online or in printed form. KFIZ
- ➤ SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic will offer seasonal flu vaccinations at multiple sites starting October 1, including sessions at its main location and partner clinics in Fox Lake, Ripon, Waupun, and Campbellsport. - ➤ Marian University women's volleyball (Sabres) lost to St. Norbert in the NACC opener (25-23, 25-17, 25-15) as the team saw an early lead quickly overcome by the Green Knights. The loss marked Sabres’ 16th defeat against St. Norbert in their series. Envision Greater FDL
- ➤ Freshman Charlotte Touw of Marian field hockey earned CFHC Offensive Player of the Week recognition after scoring three goals over the weekend — a pair against Keuka and a game-winning overtime goal against Nazareth — and she has totaled 19 points in six games this season.
