ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources forester, Adam Zirbel, died after being struck by lightning while working near New Fane Trail and his body was found in a wooded area near Kewaskum Monday at 7:40 p.m.—authorities confirmed a lightning strike occurred at 10:15 a.m. that day.  WBAY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • English teacher Kaytie Storms resigned from Laconia High School after posting a Facebook message that called Charlie Kirk racist and sexist—her resignation comes with a mutual separation agreement including a severance payment and a seven-day revocation period while a long-term substitute is in place.  WBAY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Froedtert and ThedaCare announced a new visual brand identity—along with a unified Mission and Vision—for Froedtert ThedaCare Health that unites over 25,000 team members to advance community health. The new identity supports their separate care delivery brands and highlights their commitment to transforming care across nearly half the state.  KFIZ

SPORTS NEWS

  • Marian men's soccer beat Lakeland 2-0 after scoring one goal in each half and snapping a three-game losing streak—freshman Szymon Kielar opened the scoring while sophomore JT Sus added the final goal. The Sabres earned their first conference road win since Oct. 5 and improved their series record against the Muskies.  Envision Greater FDL
  • Marian women's soccer beat Lakeland 6-0 by scoring a season-high six goals, including four in the second half, and extended its all-time series win streak to 17 games (27-13 overall).  Envision Greater FDL
