- ➤ State lawmakers and actress Halle Berry supported a bipartisan bill that will require the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to create and share materials on menopause—aimed at improving women's understanding of symptoms and treatment. The efforts come after Berry shared personal experiences of misdiagnosis during an Oct 21 Zoom session. FDL Reporter
- ➤ Governor Tony Evers said the Food Share program for nearly 700,000 enrollees will run out of funds since federal dollars will last only 10 more days during the government shutdown — November benefits will be delayed even if the shutdown ends soon. The Department of Health Services advised users to spend remaining funds on nonperishable staples in October. KFIZ
