Dr. Melanie Rohloff from ThedaCare Urgent Care Appleton explained that sepsis is a dangerous condition caused by the body’s overreaction to infection and urged people to seek help if they experience fast heart rate, low blood pressure, fever or shaking chills.
She advised high-risk patients such as older adults and those with chronic conditions to act quickly and practice good hygiene — early treatment can save lives.
SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic welcomed new urology nurse practitioner Claire Carlton, APNP-CNP, at 420 E.
Division Street and she now treats patients with urinary incontinence, kidney stones and BPH using a patient-focused method. Carlton earned her nursing degrees from Valparaiso University and Herzing College and chose urology after gaining experience as a registered nurse.
