- ➤ Fondy Food Pantry has launched a holiday greeting card fundraiser to help local families and share holiday cheer in Fond du Lac. Supporters can buy cards for a minimum donation of $20 online—proceeds help fund the pantry’s food programs. Envision Greater FDL

- ➤ On October 28, the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac celebrated the grand opening of its new Light Wonders Gallery, an immersive space with a sensory room, a 12-foot illuminated wall and an interactive projection exhibit. Over 40 guests & community partners joined the ribbon-cutting while the $122,000 project aimed to boost play & creativity for children of all abilities. Envision Greater FDL
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Federal SNAP funding will pause Nov. 1 because of the government shutdown, so FoodShare participants can only use benefits already on their EBT cards. Local food pantries — including Fondy Food Pantry and the Salvation Army — are preparing for longer lines and increased demand as community members donate essentials and money. FDL Reporter
- ➤ Fond du Lac announced that Rachel Fuller has been named Library Director for the Fond du Lac Public Library, with her term starting on December 1. She brings 14 years of library leadership experience — she managed budgets and programs that help run busy libraries. KFIZ

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Tansy Lederhaus survived a car crash as a teen that left her with severe injuries and less than a 1% chance of survival while losing her best friend, and she spent 43 days in hospital. Now a registered nurse and mother-of-three, she hosts blood drives and plans to publish her book 43 Days by the end of the year to honor those who helped save her life. Envision Greater FDL
