ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 44-year-old Waupun man fell from a tree stand on Oct. 30 during deer hunting in Fond du Lac County—he suffered minor injuries after not wearing a safety harness and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. FDL Reporter

- ➤ Fond du Lac STEM Academy was placed under a safety hold for three hours on Thursday after police responded to a threat that was later deemed not credible—school officials confirmed classes are held normally today. WBAY

- ➤ Holy Family Church announced its living nativity production will return for one night on December 7, featuring music from the choir, a narrator, costumed parish members and real animals from local farms. Tickets will go on sale November 3 at the church office; the event will include a petting zoo after the show and tickets cost $18 plus tax with children 3 and under free. KFIZ

- ➤ After a refinery fire caused a 35 to 50 cent jump in gas prices last week, area gas stations dropped prices by about 20 cents on Wednesday with 87 octane at 2.69. Nationwide, gas and crude oil costs continue to fall — drivers can expect further price reductions soon — which may ease pump costs locally. KFIZ

- ➤ Marian University women's basketball earned 101 points finishing tenth in the NACC preseason poll and will open their season at home on November 8 against Dubuque at 1 p.m. The poll picked Wisconsin Lutheran as the conference favorite with 327 points (St. Norbert finished second with 321 points) and the team with the best season record will be named champion with the top eight teams earning a spot in the NACC Tournament.
