Fond du Lac School District released its 2024-25 State Report Card, ranking 175 out of 420 and earning an Exceeds Expectations rating not seen since 2016-17.

Most schools improved with Parkside Elementary rising to Significantly Exceeded Expectations while the high school dropped to Meets Few Expectations — district leaders are now working with high school staff to raise its performance next year.

Dock Spiders introduced Weaver’s Reading Club for the 2025-2026 school year—registration is now open for area teachers and coordinators to enroll pre-K through sixth grade classes with support from Timber Rattlers Give Back, and students who meet their reading goals will earn game tickets and a special hat.

Internal Medicine nurse Kristee Glaman received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Fond du Lac Regional Clinic on October 30 for her work in getting a patient emergency care and supporting his family.

She was honored with a certificate, a DAISY pin, and a sculpture called A Healer’s Touch—recognizing her compassion and skill in patient care.
