- ➤ Yesterday was giving Tuesday, an annual day that encouraged donations and volunteer support for local causes. The American Red Cross reported that 400 volunteers helped respond to disasters with $1.1 million in aid, and Fond du Lac Area Transit handed out insulated grocery bags at the transfer zone on Rees—Macy Street between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. KFIZ
- ➤ Last minute donations are coming in to support the Shop With a Cop event, which will take place on December 4 as law enforcement and justice system partners give selected kids a mini shopping spree. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt said schools pick kids who need extra help—kids may choose essentials like shampoo or bedding as well as toys. KFIZ
- ➤ Today, the Fond du Lac Noon Rotary Club—sponsor of the Lakeside Park holiday light show since 2018—launched a Pay it Forward campaign to raise money for local non-profits and charities. The free show, which features illuminated trees and animated scenes with festive music on 89.1 FM, runs nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. through Jan. 1. FDL Reporter

- ➤ St. Mary’s Springs Elves R Us is an annual program at St. Mary’s Middle School on Merrill Avenue where 8th graders run a store—teaching business skills and leadership to younger students while managing jobs, money, and gift wrapping. Profits go to a charity chosen by the 8th graders and help fund their class trip. KFIZ

- ➤ Snowfall over the weekend ranged from 4 inches in Green Bay to 8 inches in Fond du Lac+ local reports confirm +, adding to heavy winter conditions across the region. Residents can use an interactive map+ updated several times a day + to view snowfall totals for the past 24, 48, and 72 hours and seasonal accumulations to plan for icy roads and roofs. FDL Reporter

- ➤ Marian Athletics completed its annual Cans Across the Conference competition by collecting 2,304 items and 1,957 pounds of canned goods for the Fond du Lac Food Pantry; the Sabre baseball team led the effort with a 500-pound contribution+ the men’s ice hockey, men’s bowling and women’s bowling teams added 299, 299 and 251 pounds respectively to help meet local food needs.
